An existing care complex transformed into a new home in a new location<\/h2>\n\n

In record time, we transformed an old care location in Oud-Beijerland into a new nursing home in Bergen op Zoom, where people with physical impairments or dementia can find their place in an assisted living facility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n \n

In just 3.5 weeks, the Oud-Beijerland site was dismantled, transported to Bergen op Zoom and rebuilt, updated and fully installed.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fast construction that shortens waiting lists<\/h2>\n\n

Just like in other regions, West Brabant also has waiting lists for long-term care. In an effort to reduce these lists, the CZ Zorgkantoor knocked on TanteLouise Foundation’s door in the autumn of 2016. The request? Create additional living space for at least 24 residents with the most intense care needs before the end of the year. It was a logistical and planning challenge that we tackled together head on.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Just like home<\/h2>\n\n

With 17 care and nursing centres in Bergen op Zoom, Steenbergen and Woensdrecht, TanteLouise is an important player in West Brabant elderly care. As a forward-thinking organisation, they always opt for the best possible solution. And so, here they wanted to offer elderly people a place where they could ‘live like they are at home’. This also formed the starting point for the new nursing home to be developed on the ABG site. We accomplished our plan at this place, which has a rich history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

Like flexible housing is meant to be<\/h3>\n\n

We decided to expand the TanteLouise location we completed in 2014. Given the high urgency, we used an pre-existing, circular building from Stichting Zorgwaard in Oud-Beijerland, 50 km away. In less than 3.5 weeks, we transformed this old care facility into additional capacity for the Bergen op Zoom nursing home.<\/p>\n\n

A streamlined collaboration<\/h2>\n\n

Despite the record time achieved in completing the site, the building was finished to a very high level. The minimum requirement was to provide clients who had the most intense care needs with professional and quality care. We laid the floors, closed the ceilings and installed water and electricity. We also took care of all of the decorating work in just one week. Thanks to the great cooperation between dozens of specialists, we managed to get the job done successfully on such short notice. Giving our all for a comfortable home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \n
